WebJul 9, 2011 · The best years for the Twincam motor is 1999-2002 (good crank & Heads) . 2005 was the worst (bad crank & bad heads). 2006-2011 still has a crappy crank design. I'd say it's a crapshoot. As far as '05 goes, I've got an '05 with no crank runout problems, gear dive installed @ 20k, now over 45k with nary a problem ever.
