WebAug 30, 2024 · It's quite logical that replacing a dug Up/Down stair with a built Up stair and then removing the Up stair results in a Down stair remaining, because a Down stair is basically a walkable hole in the floor, so when the floor included in the Up stair construction is removed, the Down stair previously dug is revealed.
