You can buy tube nuts (the same kind of fitting that goes on the end of a brake line), but in 5/16" or 3/8", whichever size your vehicle uses. Cut the metal line, slide the nut on, and double flare the end, just like a brake line. Then get a hose barb fitting that threads onto the tube nut. WebJun 15, 2024 · Yes you're using a double flare kit to try to make a bubble flare. You might succeed in something that looks similar, that's about it. I use the OTC 6504 bubble flare kit, and have replaced most of the steel brake lines on my old Dakota with bubble flared NiCopp lines. They've been on there a few years now, and I'm still alive.
